      1. I hopes its easy…My kids want beef wellington for Thanksgiving, so I can take the other half of the beef tenderloin and make scikova…

  2. Excellent, I can’t wait.

  3. Wow! Back in 1991 I traveled to Czech Republic with my husband-to-be, and my relatives in a small village not far from Brno made an engagement party for us. I have never forgotten the beautiful and delicious sandwiches, and now I can make them myself! Thank you, Kristyna!

    1. That is a great memory. Thank you so much for sharing this with me. 🙂

  4. NAZDAR!!! I absolutely love your website!! This is bringing back so many childhood memories that I had with my Mother and watching her make all of these delicious Czech foods. Both of my parents are passed and I miss her cooking. I watched and learned A LOT, but I never got my mother’s knedlick recipe, I googled it and your yourtube video came up, I about cried! Thank you again so much…

    1. Aww, thank you so much for such an amazing and touching comment! It melted my heart. 🙂

  5. I love this site, all the food looks so good! I was introduced to Czech food and customs through a coworker whose father left there in the 1970s. Their last name is Kurial and I’m not sure if that’s a common name there but they are a very beautiful family. They did get to visit a few years ago. I’d love to see your country myself. Thank you for all you do!!

    1. Thank you David! I have actually never heard of this last name. I hope you can visit soon! You would love it. 🙂

  7. Thank you for this page. My Mom (in law) was Czech. During her last few days your site helped me to prepare for her a few traditional treats. It meant the world to her and her joy meant the world to me. Thank you SO much!

    1. That is so beautiful! Thank you Tanja for telling me. It warms my heart to hear this. I am sorry to hear about your loss! My condolences.

  8. Thank you so much for sharing such wonderful recipes! I lived in the Czech Republic for a few years, and my boyfriend lived there for nearly 12. He loved to treat himself to chlebicky on his way to work. Tomorrow he starts a new job and now I can surprise him in the morning with his favorite Czech sandwich!

    1. How wonderful of you Ashley! 🙂 I am sure he will be so happy! 🙂
