  1. Hi Kristyna,

I really like the tartar sauce. It’s not overpowering and will go well with the trout I made for tonight. My husband is 1/2 Czech and I have been making many of your recipes. He really enjoyed the chicken dish with the cream and paprika–I can’t remember the name but he loved it. Told me he had not had that dish in over 20 years. Thank you for all of your wonderful and yummy recipes!

You should consider making a cookbook!

    1. Thank you so much Karen for your lovely comment! It put big smile to my face and really made my day. 🙂 Wow 20 years! That is so sweet you made your husband something he hasn’t had in 20 years. We are actually working on our first Kindle cookbook. 🙂 When we have enough recipes we would love to make printed cookbook as well. 🙂 Can’t wait for that day to come. 🙂

      1. How wonderful! I will definitely purchase one. Just watched your video on breaded fried cheese. Will have to make that, too. I know the kids will enjoy it, too!

        Thanks!

        1. 🙂 The kids will love it that is for sure. 🙂

  2. This tartar sauce goes perfectly with french fries and smazeny syr. Sooo good 🙂 Also, it is really easy to do and it’s done in no time! Dekuji mockrat!

    1. Jeee, to mam radost Moniko! 🙂 Dekuji za krasna slova!

  4. I once drove for half an hour to buy some tartar sauce.

A couple of weeks ago I was making crumbed cauliflower and crumbed mushrooms to have with a steak. I made your sauce (I always have onions, mayonnaise and gherkins, czech brand of course, on hand). Needless to say, the shop bought variety has been tossed out.

Tonight I was making crumbed fish and mashed potato for our Good Friday dinner and without even thinking about it I whipped up a batch of your tartar sauce. It’s so tasty and very easy to make. Thankyou for all your lovely recipes that bring back memories of my mums cooking. Being czech born, I still cook a lot of czech food (much to hubbie’s delight) even though we left in 1968.

    Thanks for the memories……..

    1. That is wonderful to hear! 🙂 Yes, it is super easy to make and I also always make sure to have all ingredients needed at home. 🙂 Happy Easter! 🙂

  5. Can you make a quart to keep in fridge?

    1. I am not sure how long it would last though. I wouldn’t go more than two weeks.

  6. Vážená Kristýno!
