  1. Thank you, I’ll think I’ll try this one to avoid all the frying, or I’ll make both and compare…

Do you have other vegetable recipes? We have a czech exchange student and he says he eats vegetables, just not any that we make. If I don’t find a couple of recipes my wife is going to show up with a jar of baby food and force feed him I think.

    1. Funny 😀 Please look up on my website under category main dishes. I have lots of recipes with vegetables. Or ask the Czech exchange student to pick. 🙂 He will know all these recipes.

      1. Instead of “No, I don’t eat that.”, he said “What do you call this, we call it kvetak.” Big success.

He also said they will put some surprise cheese into some of the leftover batter.

Thanks, I really enjoy your site.

        1. Yay! I am glad it was a success. 🙂

  2. My personal favourite food, I can eat two heads of cauliflower in one sitting 🙂

    1. 😀 I hear you. It is one of my top favorites as well. 🙂

🙂 Dik a krasne Vanoce z Kanady!

    1. Dekuji moc Luci za krasny koment. 🙂 Taky preji Vesele Vanoce do Kanady! Jednou tu taky dam recept na pernicky. Musim na nem jeste zapracovat. 🙂

  4. Hi Kristyna:
Anna here; just found your website yesterday and became a subscriber. I love the vegetables & breads. I’m frying the cauliflower tonight and was wondering what temp. do I set the fryer at or should I just test it with a bread crumb like you did on the video? Thanks in advance for your answer and you and your husband are great.

    1. Thank you 🙂 The fryer works different than a pan. I would wait till the fryer signals it is ready. Since the cauliflower doesn’t need too much time to fry. You can set it on high. Wishing you success and I hope you will enjoy it. 🙂

  5. My mother made a white sauce for her cauliflower. Have u heard of this or did shemake it on her own?

    Thank You

    1. Do you mean tartar sauce? We would serve it with tartar sauce on a side.

      1. Yes it was kind of like Tartar sauce but without the pickles and capers. It was a plain creamy white sauce. Maybe it was just my mothers recipe. 🙂

Thank you and keep up the great work!

        Nazdravi

        1. Maybe it was. 🙂

  6. I’m glad our Parish is celebrating a Taste of the World Night this Saturday (Oct 27, 2018) and they asked me to represent the Czech menu. My goodness! I’m half Czech and my mother is Italian. What do you think was cooked in our household? Italian food. I called the Czech Embassy in Washington, DC and emailed back and forth asking for help! Of course, I was hoping they would send me a Czech cook who could help me! That of course, is not what they do. But I did get some good suggestions that I will cook. And somehow after Googling Czech foods, I ended up with the author of the Czech cookbook! And now after watching some videos, I feel confident. I plan on making Gulash and the Dumplings that are food in this cookbook. I’m exactly excited. After this weekend, I plan on making several of the items in the cookbook. I will try the fried Cauliflower plus bonus! Always like bonuses!

    1. I hope everything worked out well. Please let me know. Would love to hear! 🙂
