  1. made this last night after some unsuccessful attempts at making eggnog with milk and cream over the hob.

very tasty and very easy to make!!

while we cant get back to Prague for our anniversary this year we will sit at home with a fire and some nog to cheers with.

    1. That sounds wonderful! Happy anniversary! 🙂

  2. I just made it tonight. I love all the other recipes, never failed me. Although this one is super easy to make and it will get drunk, it does not need the extra sugar. It is just way too sweet now (I didn’t even put the whole cup of sugar in it) Thank you, tho for all the other recipes and your book! It is the most used cookbook I have ever had 🙂

    1. I am glad to hear it is the most used book. 🙂 Yes it is pretty sweet. Not sure why my grandma used this much sugar, but she also used much more rum so maybe that is why. Some people do skip the sugar, I do like it but this year we used also less and more rum. 🙂

  3. Is there a substitute for rum? I don’t drink alcohol but love egg nog.

    1. Hm in the Czech Republic it is made with rum so the original recipe will not taste the same. In USA they don’t use alcohol so maybe try to look for different eggnog recipe.
